Cyberspace has become the second space for human survival, and traditional spatial cognitive theory is no longer able to meet the needs of virtual and real symbiosis in cyberspace. Therefore, the characteristics of cyberspace cognition that differ from tradi-tional spatial cognition are firstly summarized. Then, based on this, the cognitive mode of cyberspace is proposed, and the construc-tion of metal map in cyberspace cognition is analyzed. Finally, based on spatial cognitive rules, the constraint principles for cyber-space map design are summarized. The research on cyberspace cognition extends the traditional spatial cognition to virtual space, which can promote the study on spatial cognition theory, enrich the cartography theory under the development trend of ternary spaces and pan cartography, and provide basic theoretical basis for cyberspace map design.
