Research on Realistic 3D Modeling of Grotto Cultural Relics Assisted by Ordinary Cameras
Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) equipped with multi-lens oblique digital camera or single lens rotating camera can collect oblique images of open-air stone sculptures from different angles, which can build realistic 3D model of the object quickly, efficiently and economically. Because the grotto sculptures generally embedded within the rock mass, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) facade image data cannot establish grotto refined 3D model completely. In this paper,by shooting a certain number of ordinary camera data inside the grottoes, the facade image data of the UAV and the detailed feature data assisted by the ordinary camera are fused to truly restore the real scenes inside and outside the grottoes,so as to provide basic data for the restoration and protection of grottoes. The re-sults of this study have important reference value for the establishment of basic geographic information database of cultural heritage and the support of three-dimensional basic data for cultural protection departments.
