Research on Regional Multidimensional Poverty Supported by Night Light Data in Hunan Province
In order to solve the problems in the traditional rural poverty survey based on statistical methods such as difficulty in data ac-quisition and poor timeliness,the socioeconomic indicators with high correlation with the Average Nighttime Light Index(ANLI)were selected by linear correlation analysis based on DMSP_OLS and NPP/VIIRS stable night light images and socioeconomic data at the county scale,and the socioeconomic indexes in the three dimensions of economy,health,and education in Hunan province were cal-culated by using the method of invariant target region method and GIS spatial analysis,the multi-dimensional poverty index of each county and district in Hunan province was obtained.The spatial distribution characteristics of poverty counties in the study area and the causes of poverty are analyzed.In addition,an estimation model of multidimensional poverty index(MPI)based on night light in-dex was constructed by regression analysis method,and the reliability of the model was verified from the time scale and accuracy of the estimation model.
