Comparative Accuracy Analysis on the Extracted DSM from TH-2 and ZY-3 Satellite Images
In view of the difficulty of DSM extraction from domestic radar satellite images and InSAR technology and its accuracy evalu-ation. In this paper, the TH-2 satellite images were used for DSM extraction experiment, and 20 check points selected in the stereo images of the ZY-3 satellite were used to evaluate the accuracy of the DSM extracted by the TH-2 satellite images. Qualitative and quantitative analysis of the DSM extracted from the two satellite images was performed in the building area, vegetation area. The ex-perimental results showed that the overall quality of DSM extracted from TH-2 satellite images is the same as that from ZY-3 satellite images. The mean square error of elevation points on extracted DSM by two satellite images compared to the check points selected in stereo images of ZY-3 satellite were 1.25 m and 0.5 m. In building area and vegetation area,DSM hill-shading displayed difference, the elevation points extracted from the two data sources showed little difference, and the trend was basically consistent. From the above experimental results,it is concluded that the DSM extraction can be achieved with the TH-2 satellite images and InSAR technology, and its data accuracy meets the 1∶50000 scale mapping requirements.
