数智时代平台型结构对企业动态能力生成的影响机理研究

数智时代平台型结构被视为最具适应性的组织结构,动态能力被视为企业发展所需的根本能力,但平台型结构与企业动态能力的关系机理尚不明晰.本文遵循组织结构决定组织能力的逻辑,以华为投资控股有限公司为案例研究对象,探讨平台型结构对企业动态能力生成的影响机理.研究发现,数智时代平台型结构为企业动态能力生成提供了组织基础;前端拥有自主决策权的一线团队与中间层模块化和标准化的平台共同驱动利用式动态能力生成;后端战略总部以战略为导向构建新平台或优化原有平台,从而赋能一线团队,共同驱动探索式动态能力生成;随着数字经济的发展,平台型结构及其驱动的企业动态能力向生态层面扩展.本文不仅有助于打开数智时代企业动态能力生成的组织过程"黑箱",并且对企业通过构建平台型结构提高动态能力具有启示作用.
Mechanism of the Impact of Platform-Based Structure on the Generation of Dynamic Capabilities of Enterprises in the Digital Intelligence Era
In the digital intelligence era, a platform-based structure is considered the most adaptable organizational structure, while a dynamic capability is considered the fundamental capability required for enterprise development. However, the relationship between platform-based structure and dynamic capability remains unclear. Following the logic that structure determines capability, this paper takes Huawei Investment & Holding Co., Ltd. As a case study to explore the mechanism of platform-based structure driving the generation of dynamic capabilities of enterprises.The conclusions are as follows. Firstly, the platform-based structure is the organizational foundation for the generation of dynamic capabilities of enterprises in the digital intelligence era. The platform-based structure is guided by the strategic framework of the headquarters, with a bottom-up autonomous decision-making system and a top-down empowerment system, jointly driving the generation of dynamic capabilities of enterprises. Secondly, the frontline team with decision-making autonomy can keenly perceive market opportunities, while the modular and standardized platform in the middle can quickly empower the frontline team to seize opportunities and restructure resources, thereby driving the generation of exploitative dynamic capabilities; When the existing platform cannot effectively empower the frontline team, the headquarters will integrate internal and external resources to build a new platform or empower the existing platform based on forward-looking analysis of market opportunity information, and then empower the frontline team through the platform to drive the generation of explorative dynamic capabilities. Thirdly, the ecological expansion of the platform-based structure provides organizational guarantees for the ecological expansion of dynamic capabilities. With the ecological expansion of the platform-based structure, frontline teams outside the enterprise can be embedded in the platform and empowered to perceive, seize, and exploit opportunities through the platform, thereby driving the expansion of exploitative dynamic capabilities to the ecological level. The headquarters combines its own advantages to build new platforms or optimize existing platforms for the ecological level, thereby empowering frontline teams and driving explorative dynamic capabilities to the ecological level.The implications are as follows. Building a platform-based structure is an organizational guarantee for traditional manufacturing enterprises to achieve digital transformation. Cultivating dynamic capabilities is a fundamental requirement for traditional manufacturing enterprises to enhance their adaptability. The matching of the platform-based structure and dynamic capabilities is a key link for traditional manufacturing enterprises to gain competitive advantages. Ecological expansion is an important strategic direction for the sustained growth of traditional manufacturing enterprises.This paper explores the mechanism by which platform-based structures affect the generation of exploitative and explorative dynamic capabilities in the digital intelligence era but does not explore the inherent evolutionary relationship between exploitative and explorative dynamic capabilities. It selects Huawei Investment & Holding Co., Ltd., which has successfully transformed into a digital manufacturing industry, as the research object. However, there may be other forms of platform-based structure and generation mechanisms of dynamic capabilities in other industries or natural digital enterprises.
