Research advances of molecular on difference in the photoperiodic flowering responses in Arabidopsis and rice
Photoperiodic control of floral induction broadly exists in the Angiosperms. Up to date, many detailed researches on photoperiodic control of flowering time have been clear -cut in long -day model plant Arabidopsis thaliana. Many results demonstrated that the molecular mechanisms of response to flowering in different plant species are conservative. This article discusses the different molecular mechanisms of photoperiodic flowering response and daylenth measurement in long-day plant Arabidopsis and short-day plant rice.
