QTL localization and candidate gene prediction for soybean plant types and yield-related traits
In this study, in order to investigate the QTL loci and candidate genes related to soybean plant types and yield, plant height, branch number, number of four-seed-pod, and 100-seed weight data of F2:12 and F2:13 recombination inbred lines (RILs) populations constructed with 168 families using Dongnong 42 (♀) and Dongnong 50 (♂) as the parental parents were determined. These data were measured and analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics and R. Finally, the additive and epistatic effects were analyzed using the inclusive composite interval mapping (ICIM) method, and 43 QTL loci were located, and 14 of the main effect loci were with a contribution rate of more than 10%. There were 11 primary effect loci, including three for plant height, eight for branch number, one for number of four-seed-pod, and two for 100-seed weight; 11 of them overlapped with previously reported loci and were located on chromosomes 4, 6, 8, 16 and 19, respectively;qBN-6-2 (13.21%), qBN-6-5 (19.96%), and qBN-6-6 (13.69%) were repeat localized loci in three kinds of environment, and qHSW-19-1 overlapped with several reported loci. Through the epistatic analysis, the loci of plant height, branch number, number of four-seed-pod and 100-seed weight were obtained as 3, 6, 6 and 62 pairs, respectively. According to the localized physical intervals and quantitative prediction, five candidate genes including Glyma.04G238800, Glyma.03G181600, Glyma.08G271900, Glyma.18G278800 and Glyma.19G187000 related to plant height, branch number, number of four-seed-pod and 100-seed weight were screened, which laid the foundation for the molecular-assisted breeding.
