A Study of the Relationship between Normal students'Sense of Career Mission and Learning Engagement A Moderated Mediation Model
Based on self-determination theory and career construction theory,this study was conducted on a group of 80,536 normal students to investigate the relationship between normal students'sense of mission and their commitment to learning using the Career Identity Scale,Career Goal Scale,Learning engagement Scale,and Career Sense of Mission Scale.The results showed that the sense of mission had a significant positive effect on learning engagement,controlling for gender,grade,school type and status;professional identity partially mediated the relationship between the sense of mission and learning engagement;and professional goals moderated the first half of the mediation process of the sense of mission influencing the learning engagement of the normal students through the professional identity,and also played a moderating role in the relationship between the sense of mission and learning engagement.career goals moderated the first half of the mediation process between career vocation and learning engagement through career identity.The results of the study reveal the mechanism of the four variables,namely,career goal,professional identity,sense of professional mission and learning investment,which lays the foundation for enhancing the teacher identity of normal students,improving their sense of professional mission and learning investment during the school period,and also provides a reference basis for the training of teacher trainees in colleges and universities to create a high-quality teaching force.
