Evolution of land use landscape pattern and influencing factors in rapid urbanization areas:a case study of Suzhou City
The landscape pattern of land use characterizes the current status and trends of urban land use,and has an important impact on urban ecological services and spatial quality. This study takes Suzhou,a representative city in the rapidly urbanizing area,as the research object.Based on the Suzhou city land use data in 2000 and 2015,the land use transfer matrix and landscape ecology methods are used to analyze the evolution characteristics of land use and landscape pattern in the study area.In-depth discussion on the influencing factors of its spatial heterogeneity. The results show that:(1 ) During the process of urbanization in Suzhou City, the characteristics of land use change are obvious, the amount of cultivated land retained has been greatly reduced, and it has retreated to the second most dominant land category, and the area of water, cultivated land, and urban and rural industrial and mining residential land tends to be balanced.(2)The landscape of various types patches have different characteristics, showing a complex evolution trend; The spatial difference of landscape pattern is significant, the urban core area and the fringe area respectively show the characteristics of single agglomeration and diversified fragmentation.Among them, the municipal districts have greater differences than the county-level cities.(3 )Under the influence of different intensities of human activities, the characteristics of landscape patterns are different. As the influence of human activities intensifies, the degree of landscape fragmentation presents the characteristics o"inverted U"landscape fragmentation.
