Based on summarizing the operation management experiences of Dingdong reservoir,the fu-ture development trend and modern construction thinking of the reservoir are analyzed. Taking the pilot construction of modern reservoir operation management matrix by the Ministry of Water Resources as an opportunity,combined with the functions and characteristics of plain reservoirs,the dam safety and ben-eficial operation of the reservoir are taken as two main lines to conceive the construction framework of the modern plain reservoir operation management matrix. Then the matrix pilot construction task is com-pleted at a high level,the reservoir operation management level is effectively improved,and the construc-tion experience of the modern plain reservoir operation management matrix can be copied and promoted.
