There are a large number of earth-rock fill dams in China,various potential dangers such as the crack and leakage are prone to occur after long-term operation,which seriously threaten the dam safety. Taking the earth-rock dam of a reservoir as an example,combined with its soaking out character-istics,comprehensive detection was carried out using the multi-electrode resistivity method,seismic re-fraction method and Rayleigh wave method to identify the distribution range of soaking out channels,achieving good results.
