Research progress in covalent organic framework-based lithium-sulfur battery separator
Covalent organic frameworks(COFs)are promising separator materials for lithium-sulfur battery due to their high specific surface area,well-defined structure, uniform pore distribution, and facile functionalization. The progress of COFs-based separators is summarized, with particular emphasis on the application of COFs-based separators in lithium-sulfur batteries and the importance of the porous size and high specific surface area of COFs in inhibiting the polysulfide shuttle effect and promotion of Li+conduction. The advantages of charge-neutral COFs,ionic COFs and COFs-based composites in improving the reversible capacity and cycle stability of lithium-sulfur batteries are explained. The challenges faced by COFs-based separators are presented and the future development direction is provided.
