Application progress in in-situ characterization in failure analysis of battery material
Based on real-time and on-site characteristics,the in-situ characterization technique is becoming more and more important in revealing the interface evolution and failure mechanism of battery materials,providing a theoretical basis for fundamentally improving the stability and safety of batteries.In-situ characterization techniques for battery material failure analysis,such as in-situ XRD,in-situ X-ray microscopy and in-situ atomic force microscopy and so on,are systematically summarized from three aspects of interface structure evolution,morphology change and gas production of key electrode materials.The principles of various characterization technologies are emphasized,and the advantages and limitations of the technologies are discussed according to their practical applications in the field of failure analysis,the improvement direction are prospected.
