When the 10 kV capacitor bank in A segment was connected into 110 kV / 10kV system in the power supply unit, an instantaneous protective action occurred, causing separating brake. The characteristics of 10 kV switch protection and the arc short circuit happened in the control cabinet were analyzed to find the reasons, and some related measures were taken.
