The model selection of flame detector for various combustors in sulfur recovery plant was discussed based on the practical operation and from the principle of the flame detectors. The important means and methods for maintenance were also discussed in order to make proper model selection and maintenance to guarantee the safe, stable and long term operation of the plant.
