DIFFICULTIES OF SYNTHETIC AMMONIA PLANT OPERATION IN SUMMER TIME AND CORRESPONDING MEASURES
Taking a fertilizer plant in operation as an example,this paper discussed the operation difficulties of synthetic ammonia plant with natural gas as its feedstock under high temperature in the summer time,e.g.insufficient process air,high vacuum degree of compressor turbine,and high pressure in ammonia spherical storage tank.By increasing the process air and thermal load of the primary convertor,raising the pressure of liquid ammonia tank,optimizing the process parameters,and improving the drainage of refrigerating system,the safety and the economic benefit of the plant were enhanced.
