STUDY ON THE DETERMINATION METHOD OF TOTAL PHENOL CONTENT IN DIISOPROPYL ETHER
The bromination volumetric method is used to determine the total phenol content in diisopropyl ether. In order to eliminate the interference of diisopropyl ether on the accuracy of the determination, the phenol in diisopropyl ether reacts with sodium hydroxide solution to produce sodium phenolate, then the diisopropyl ether is evaporated in the water bath, and finally the pH of the sample is adjusted to neutral. The bromination volumetric method can accurately determine the total phenol content in diisopropyl ether. This method was used for standard addition testing, and the recovery rate was measured to be between 96.4%and 102.2%,with a relative standard deviation of less than 3%.
