The inner structure of the overvoltage protector and its failure were analyzed by disassembling the integrated overvoltage protectors in different plants for comparison.It's found that the moisture existed in the clearance gap seal,and the undetectable quality of zinc oxide valve block were the main causes of the failure.The preliminary solution was proposed for the protector,which will provide the reference for overvoltage device model selection afterwards.
