DISCUSSION ON THE PHENOL DETECTION INDICATORS IN AMMONIA WATER AS A BYPRODUCT OF CRUSHED COAL GASIFICATION
This paper discussed the determination of phenol in byproduct ammonia water of crushed coal gasification.Based on the reaction principle of bromine method, the appearance change of phenol water under alkaline condition, ultraviolet absorption peak under acidic condition and the mass spectrum of methyl isobutyl ketone(MIBK)extract,it is concluded that the content of phenol compounds in byproduct ammonia water is low or non-existent.The data obtained by the original method is generally 250 mg/L,which cannot characterize the content of phenolic compounds. It should be characterized by the total content of phenol in the byproduct ammonia water and the unsaturated organic chemicals.
