A method and application of measuring impact energy based on theory of axial stress waves
A method of measuring impact energy based on theory of axial stress wave is studied. The measurement of impact energy is converted into the measurement of axial stress wave so that a computer aided measurement system of impact energy of electric hammer is developed. The system uses custom length and diameter test rods for calibration of Young's modulus and mass density, precise strain gauges and Whiston Bridges, micro signal amplification circuits,high-speed ADC data acquisition cards, and corresponding impact energy measurement software to do the experiment. The experimental results show that the measurement method and application improve the level of intelligent measurement of the impact energy of electric tools, and the measurement data are accurate and reliable.
