An Empirical Study on Measuring Export Competitiveness of Chinese Cultural Products and Its Influencing Factors
This study used indicators such as the Trade Competition Index and the Explicit Comparative Advantage Index to measure the export competitiveness of Chinese cultural products.The results show that the export competitiveness of Chinese cultural products is gradually improving,but there are significant differences in the export competitiveness of different categories of cultural products.Physical cultural products have high export competitiveness,while the export competitiveness of cultural elements is relatively weak.Using the gravity model of six regions including the United States,the United Kingdom,and Germany from 2008 to 2022,the study examined key factors influencing Chinese cultural product export competitiveness.The results show that higher education enrollment,R&D investment in the cultural industry,and intellectual property development significantly positively impact Chinese cultural product export competitiveness,whereas cultural distance between six regions has a significant negative impact.
