Based on panel data from 30 provinces in China from 2011 to 2022,this study analyzed the supporting effect of green finance on the digital economy using individual fixed-effects model,mediation effect model,and single threshold effect model.The findings reveal that:green finance is an effective pathway to promote the development of the digital economy,and it can further enhance digital economy growth through green technological innovation;the impact of green finance on the digital economy exhibits significant regional heterogeneity,with the eastern region showing notably higher effects compared to the central and western regions.Additionally,there is resource-based heterogeneity,as resource-rich provinces experience more substantial positive effects than non-resource-based provinces;a notable single threshold effect is observed,suggesting a nonlinear relationship between green finance and the digital economy.Consequently,the study recommends accelerating the digital transformation of green finance in China,constructing a comprehensive green technological innovation system,implementing differentiated green finance policies to promote regional coordinated development,and rationally allocating green resources to support the green transition.
