Research on Flux Density and Loss of Variable Speed Pumped Storage Generator-motor under Different Leading Phase Operation
The leading phase operation of large generator-motor is an important way for maintaining the voltage and reactive power balance of the grid.In order to study the variation of electromagnetic field and losses of large variable speed pumped storage generator-motor during different leading phase operation,two-dimensional electromagnetic field model of 326MW variable speed pumped storage generator-motor is established in this paper. The air gap flux density, stator current waveforms and magnetic density at the sampling point of stator and rotor core of variable speed pumped storage generator-motor are compared and analyzed under different leading phase operation conditions, and the change of the stator core loss and rotor core loss are studied. At the same time, the small capacity of 10MW variable speed pumped storage generator-motor is studied using the same calculation method. The calculation results are closer to the test values, which verifies the feasibility of the calculation method in this paper.
