Research on Damping Effects of Power System Stabilizer under Low-load Leading Phase Condition of Synchronous Generator
The available parameter setting method of power system stabilizer does not take into account the low-load leading phase condition of the generator,so the damping effect on the low-frequency oscillation under the condition is not clear.Firstly, the generation mechanism of low-frequency oscillation and the principle of power system stabilizer are described.Secondly, the changes of power angle and system damping under leading phase operation are analyzed. Then, the influence of the active power, reactive power and low-load leading phase operation on the uncompensated phase frequency characteristics of the excitation system is studied. Finally, through simulation comparison, the damping effect of power system stabilizer on low-frequency oscillation under different conditions are analyzed.
