Speed Sensor Fault-tolerant Control of Variable Speed DFIM-based Pump Storage Unit
As the adjustable source in the power system,the variable-speed pumped storage unit(VSPSU)plays an important role in the power balance,frequency regulation,and so on.Meanwhile,this put forwards the high-reliability requirements of the VSPSU-used doubly fed induction machine.Thus,in order to deal with the speed sensor fault,the speed sensor fault-tolerant control of the doubly fed generator motor is developed for the reliability enhancement.In this strategy,the estimated rotor speed is obtained based on the model reference adaptive method and then used as the redundancy of the measured one by the ABZ signals of the encoder.Together with the hysteresis and the SR flip-flop,the flip-flop logic-based detection and isolation of the speed sensor fault is designed.By this means,the uninterrupted operation of the doubly fed generator motor during speed sensor faults can be achieved.Finally,based on MATLAB simulation,the effectiveness of the proposed speed sensor fault-tolerant control is validated.
