Preparation of a structural bionic antifouling coating
The bionic anti-fouling coating is an anti-fouling coating prepared by simulating the skin and structure of marine organisms,or extracting the anti-fouling substances in the body of marine organ-isms.In this paper, the simple salt dissolution method was used to simulate the composite structure of the upper transparent layer and lower porous layer of soft coral. The anti-fouling chemical substances of saccharin, gabapentin and capric acid in soft coral were added in different ways to prepare bionic anti-fouling coatings with different compositions, and the fouling resistance of the coatings was studied. The results showed that the compression modulus of the sample with the ratio of saccharin∶gabapentin∶cap-ric acid of 47∶23∶25 was the smallest, followed by the sample with the ratio of 42∶33∶25 and the sam-ple with 0.01 g saccharin. The smaller the compression modulus, the easier it is to deform. The surface energy of the transparent layer and porous layer of the sample with the ratio of saccharin∶gabapentin∶capric acid of 47∶23∶25 was the smallest, which was 22.2 and 16.0 mJ/m2,respectively.The surface energy of the transparent layer and porous layer of the samples with the ratio of saccharin∶gabapentin∶capric acid of 42∶33∶25 and 0.01 g saccharin was second, which was 22.7,22.9 and 16.1,16.5 mJ/m2,respectively.The smaller the surface energy, the better the hydrophobicity and anti-fouling perfor-mance.The samples were tested for stain resistance and static antibacterial experiments. The research showed that compared with the bionic anti-fouling coatings with single anti-fouling component, the bionic anti-fouling coating with all three anti-fouling components had better anti-fouling effect. The sample with saccharin had better anti-fouling effect than that with other single anti-fouling components.
