Preparation of amorphous Co-Mo-P alloy coating and its corrosion protection effect on Q235 steel
The amorphous Co-Mo-P alloy coating was prepared by electrodeposition on the surface of Q235 steel in order to effectively improve the corrosion resistance of Q235 steel and enhance the durability of concrete structures. The experimental results show that the surface roughness of the amorphous Co-Mo-P alloy coating is only 0.41 μm,and the flatness and compactness of the amorphous Co-Mo-P alloy coating are better than those of Zn-Ni alloy coating and hot-dip galvanizing coating with the same thickness.Compared with Zn-Ni alloy coating and hot-dip galvanizing coating, the amorphous Co-Mo-P alloy coating has higher film resistance, charge transfer resistance, low frequency impedance(|Z|0.01Hz)and maximum phase angle, which are 1.44x103 Ω cm2,8.95× 103 Ω.cm2,1.50× 104 Ω·cm2,66.6 °,respectively. After 10 days of immersion in simulated concrete pore solution, the overall corrosion degree of amorphous Co-Mo-P alloy coating is the lightest, and the corrosion weight loss is only 1.42× 10-3 g/cm2,indicating that amorphous Co-Mo-P alloy coating possesses excellent corrosion resistance and it can provide long-term effective corrosion protection for Q235 steel. The reason is that the amorphous Co-Mo-P alloy coating has no grain boundary and no dislocation defects, and the surface holes are few, which can more effectively block the corrosive medium and block its diffusion path.
