By using the literature research method,comparative analysis method,video observation method and mathematical statistics method,the article compares and analyzes the technical statistics of the five games of the Chinese Men's Basketball Team and the top four teams at the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup,with the aim of finding the gap between the Chinese Men's Basketball Team and the world's top basketball teams.The results are as follows.(1)Three-point shooting percentage was the main gap between the Chinese team and the world's top basketball teams.(2)The ability of controlling fouls of the Chinese team was far behind that of the world's top teams,and front-court rebounds and steals were still the deficiencies of the Chinese team.(3)The shooting percentage of outside players was significantly different from that of the world's top teams,which was the main reason why the performance of the Chinese team was not satisfactory at the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup.
