Research on the Effect of the PBL Teaching Method on the Learning Ability of Students Majoring in Physical Education——Taking Its Application in General Basketball Courses as an Example
Objective:To explore the effect of the problem-based learning(PBL)teaching method on the learning ability of students majoring in physical education. Methods:The teaching experiment method, questionnaire survey method and mathematical statistics method were mainly used to measure, compare and analyze the special physical quality, special technical level and learning ability of students in the experimental class and the control class before and after the experiment. Results:Under the premise that there was no significant difference in the homogeneity test before the experiment, the scores of the students in the experimental class in the three dimensions of the independent learning ability, cooperative learning ability and problem solving ability after the experiment were higher than those of the control class, with significant differences(P<0.05),the results of intra-group comparison showed that the scores of students in the experimental class in the three dimensions were also significantly higher than those before the experiment, with significant differences(P<0.05),and that the scores of students in the control class in the three dimensions were improved but were not significant(P>0.05).Conclusion:Although the PBL teaching method has the more complex operating procedure and takes up the more spare time of teachers and students,it can effectively improve the learning ability of students majoring in physical education and help cultivate students'lifelong learning ability.
