The popularization of smartphones and 5G technology has enabled social multi-media platforms such as WeChat to play a greater role in basketball teaching in colleges and universities.To explore the value and strategy of the application of WeChat-assisted micro-videos in basketball teaching in colleges and universities,mathematical statistics and teaching experiment methods were used to verify the role of WeChat-assisted micro-videos in basketball teaching from the aspects of students'body shapes,special-basketball physical fitness,learning interest,emotional attitudes,values,basketball skills,etc.The results show that the teaching of WeChat-assisted micro-videos enriches basketball teaching modes and enhances the novelty of basketball teaching forms,which can better improve students'basketball skills,mobilize their learning enthusiasm and interest,and make basketball more popular with students.
