Intangible cultural heritage in minority sports is an important part of traditional ethnic culture,which is rooted in the cultural soil of ethnic minorities and embodies the spiritual connotation and ethnic values of ethnic minorities.Taking the western Hunan as the research object,starting from the analysis of the basic characteristics of intangible cultural heritage in minority sports,this paper expounds the realistic significance of the protection and development of intangible cultural heritage in minority sports,then analyzes the current situation of the protection and development of intangible cultural heritage in minority sports,and finally puts forward countermeasures for the protection and development of intangible cultural heritage in minority sports in the new era,hoping to help the innovation and development of intangible cultural heritage in minority sports in the western Hunan.
