To revitalize rural areas, traditional ethnic sports are promising. Using research methods such as literature, research, interviews and logical analysis, this paper explores the relevance, practical logic and development path of traditional ethnic sports and the revitalization and development of rural culture. The relevance is reflected in three aspects: the advantages of environmental resources related to the material cultural level, the ethnic rule system related to the institutional cultural level, and the multicultural pattern related to the spiritual cultural level. Realistic logic is mainly that the inheritance space of traditional ethnic sports is compressed, and the cultural connotation is diluted. Development path: adhering to the people-oriented principle, fully respecting the main position of farmers, strengthening cultural confidence and refining traditional national sports brands, aiming to provide valuable references for research scholars.
