The combination of sports and artificial intelligence (AI) provides users with more professional and personalized exercise plans, but AI sports technology is rarely applied to middle school students. This paper aims to analyze the feasibility of applying AI sports to after-school physical exercise for junior high school students. Through the comprehensive evaluation of existing technologies and educational practices, it summarizes the current relevant results of research, finds the shortcomings and potential improvement space of research, and explores the implementation methods of applying AI sports to after-school physical exercise for junior high school students, so as to provide practical and feasible methods for promoting the physical health of junior high school students and improving their physical education scores in the High School Entrance Examination.
