Analysis of Reasons for the Inconsistent Measuring Results of Emotional Responses in HIIT Research
Objective: To explore reasons for the inconsistent research results of affective responses in high-intensity interval training (HIIT). Methods: With the current results of the emotional responses (pleasure and enjoyment) of HIIT as research objects, the literature review method was used to summarize reasons for inconsistent research results. Results: The selection of research participants (sample range, sample status, sample difference, sample calculation and sample attrition) and issues related to measurement instruments (the choice of measuremen, deviations of measuring staff, and measurement environment) were main reasons for the inconsistent research results of HIIT to emotional responses (pleasure and enjoyment). Conclusion: The control of experimental conditions should be improved from all aspects in the experimental process, so as to increase the rigor of the interpretation of experimental results.
