Under the background of realizing the building of a leading sports nation, strengthening university physical education is of great practical significance to promote the development of the higher education undertaking in China. At present, China is moving towards the goal of building a leading sports nation, and the development of university physical education has played a decisive role. With the rapid development of China's economy and society, people's attention to sports is increasing, and the sports undertaking is also developing rapidly. Colleges and universities are important parts of the development of higher education in China, and important parts of the development of the higher education undertaking in China. Based on this, the paper discusses the development path of college physical education under the background of the dream of building a leading sports nation.
