In order to promote the inheritance and development of traditional ethnic sports culture among teenagers in western Guangdong in the new era, this paper points out the current situation of the inheritance and development of traditional ethnic sports culture among teenagers in western Guangdong in the new era, analyzes challenges, including the influence of modernization and globalization, the uneven distribution of educational resources, the bondage of traditional concepts and the weakening of cultural identity, and finally puts forward effective measures for the inheritance and development of traditional ethnic sports culture among teenagers in western Guangdong in the new era, including enhancing the modern attractiveness of traditional ethnic sports to cope with the impact of globalization, utilizing government and social funding projects to enrich education resources, updating cultural education and ideology to break away from the shackles of traditional concepts, and strengthening ethnic culture education to strengthen cultural identity. Through above measures, it is helpful to promote the inheritance and development of traditional ethnic sports culture in western Guangdong, and provides practical reference for relevant personnel.
