Influence of Timing Carbohydrate Supplementation on the Athletic Ability of Sprinters
The sprint event in track and field is an anaerobic sport which is mainly powered by the phosphogenic system and the glycolysis system. As the most basic energy substance, the carbohydrate plays a vital role in the process of exercise. In order to improve the athletic ability of athletes, stabilize their blood sugar levels, delay their onset time of fatigue, and then achieve excellent sports results, it is necessary to scientifically and reasonably arrange the time, type and way of carbohydrate supplementation. This paper will review the effects of the time, type and way of carbohydrate supplementation on the body's exercise ability, aiming at providing suggestions for scientific carbohydrate supplementation in the sprint event in track and field.
