Deep learning can help students to better understand and master knowledge and apply it to real life, and it is a very effective way of learning. With the continuous reform of China's higher education, deep learning has also been introduced into various higher vocational colleges and has achieved good practical results. As an important part of higher education, the teaching quality of higher vocational physical education has an important influence on students' physical and mental health and all-round development. Therefore, by the literature method and other research methods, and with the main characteristics of deep learning as the starting point, this article analyzes problems existing in the current teaching of higher vocational physical education and the necessity of the efficient design of the teaching of higher vocational physical education from the perspective of deep learning, and puts forward targeted implementation paths for the efficient design of the teaching of higher vocational physical education from the perspective of deep learning, in order to provide some useful reference for the innovation of the teaching of higher vocational physical education.
