Low Energy Availability and Exercisers'Bone Health
Exercisers will experience a high energy consumption process,especially during high-intensity training,when exercise energy consumption is high and energy intake is reduced.Low energy availability is considered to be an initiation factor for low bone mineral density,with the short-term consequence of short-term changes in bone metabolism and an increased risk of bone stress injuries,and the long-term consequence of osteoporosis and related fragility fractures.The degree of low energy availability reducing bone health may depend on the degree of energy deficit.The importance of appropriate dietary strategies should be fully recognized to ensure sufficient energy for training and physical activities,and exercise intervention strategies should be paid attention to.
