Research and Exploration of the Cardiopulmonary Endurance Characteristics and High-Intensity Interval Training Application of Plateau College Students
Objective:To understand the current situation of the cardiopulmonary endurance of plateau college students through the statistical analysis of their physical fitness monitoring results, and analyze the physical fitness issues of students during exercise through the physical activity readiness questionnaire(PAR-Q)survey,so as to provide a basis for high-intensity interval training.Method:The methods of literature, interviews, questionnaires and data analysis were used to analyze the cardiovascular endurance and training methods of plateau college students.Result:The physical health status of college students was not optimistic, with 45.24%of male students and 36.36%of female students having unqualified lung capacity, and an excellent rate of zero.According to the PAR-Q survey,94.3%of students experienced chest pain while engaging in physical activities. Conclusion:Due to the stimulation of the low-oxygen environment, most of college students in high-altitude areas reduce their exercise intensity, decrease their amount of exercise, and even refuse to exercise except for physical education tests,so exercise intensity cannot meet the requirements of effectively improving their cardiovascular function. In physical education tests, the performance of endurance events is generally reduced, showing the phenomenon of a low rate of excellent and qualified lung functions, discomforts during exercise are common, and high-intensity interval training has become a hot choice.
