Moderating the Relationship Between Depressive Symptoms and Sleep Quality in College Students by the Physical Activity Level
Objective:To explore the moderating effect of the physical activity level in college students'depressive symptoms and sleep quality.Methods:A questionnaire survey was conducted on 1088 college students,and data was processed by methods such as independent samples t-test,χ2 test,Pearson correlation analysis and binary logistic regression analysis.Results:Depressive symptoms were positively correlated with sleep quality,and the use of hypnotic drugs and daytime dysfunction were risk factors for depressive symptoms;the physical activity level was significantly negatively correlated with depressive symptoms and the total score of sleep quality,and different physical activity levels could negatively moderate the relationship between the total score of sleep quality and depressive symptoms.Conclusion:Different physical activity levels can negatively moderate the relationship between sleep quality and depressive symptoms and may attenuate the interaction between the two.
