Mediating Roles of Anxiety and Moderating Roles of Physical Activities in Adolescent Peer Relationship and Mobile Phone Addiction
Objective:To explore the relationship between peer relationship and mobile phone addiction among adolescents,and consider the mediating role of anxiety and the moderating role of physical activities. Method:472 junior high school students from four middle schools in Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture,Hunan were conduced a questionnaire survey by the peer relationship scale,mobile phone addiction scale,self-rating anxiety scale and physical activity rating scale. Result:Adolescent mobile phone addiction was positively correlated with anxiety and negatively correlated with peer relationship and physical activities. Peer relationship could significantly positively predict mobile phone addiction in junior middle school students,anxiety played a partial mediating role between the two,and physical activities moderated the relationship between anxiety and adolescent mobile phone addiction. Conclusion:Anxiety plays a partial mediating role between adolescent peer relationship and mobile phone addiction,and physical activities reduce the relationship between anxiety and adolescent mobile phone addiction.
