Research on the Relevance Between Sports Participation and Socioeconomic Status
Through a systematic review of domestic and international research, the research aims to reveal the complex relevance between sports participation and socioeconomic status(SES).Literature analysis shows that individuals with higher income, higher education, and higher occupation status are more inclined to participate in sports activities, and their participation frequency and types are more diverse. Some researches indicate that active sports participation may promote career development and social capital accumulation, thereby enhancing an individual's SES.However, research mainly focuses on developed countries, especially Europe and the USA,with few researches on developing nations, especially China. Most researches use cross-sectional designs, making it difficult to determine causal relationships..Future research should further focus on the dynamic relationship between sports participation and SES under different cultural backgrounds, and adopt a longitudinal study design to provide more convincing evidence and theoretical support.
