Impact of Sedentary Intermittent Intervention on the Physiological Function and Mental Health of Middle School Students
Objective:To explore the impact of sedentary intermittent intervention on the physiological function and mental health of middle school students, and provide reference and guidance for improving their health level. Method:This article took 173 middle school students as experimental subjects, and the experiment lasted for one academic year. The experimental group engages in physical exercises during break 4 times each day, while the control group students arranged their their own exercise during break time. We monitored the body composition, blood pressure, heart rate variability, refractive error, and maximum oxygen uptake (VO2max) of the experimental subjects before and after intervention. Result:Before intervention, there was no statistically significant difference in data between the two experimental groups (P>0.05);After intervention, the body fat percentage,SBP,DBP,and refractive error of the experimental group were lower than those of the control group, while VO2max,skeletal muscle mass, and heart rate variability indicators were higher than those of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion:The results of this study suggest that sedentary intermittent intervention can effectively improve the physical and mental health of adolescents.
