Inheritance and Evolution of Emei Wushu from the Perspective of Cultural Reproduction
This paper analyzes Emei Wushu's inheritance and evolution from a cultural reproduction perspective. Emei Wushu has gone through the process of symbolization from its origin to its unique style,and then to its cultural symbol image through the media. The driving mechanism of its cultural reproduction includes the persistence and innovation of the inheritors,the support of government policies and the demand of the cultural market. However,Emei Wushu faces challenges and difficulties such as shortage of inheriting talents,impact of commercialization and loss of cultural connotation. Young people's interest in traditional martial arts is declining,and traditional inheritance methods are limited;Excessive commercialization leads to the lack of cultural connotation,and the homogeneity of performance weakens the unique charm;The dilution of traditional values and the tendency of utilitarianism make people lack a deep understanding of cultural connotation
