Physical characteristics are the reflection of the human body to different ethnic origin,geographical environment,cultures,and living environments,and have important guidance and practical value in fields such as nutrition,medicine and anthropology. This study takes the Yi's young people in the region as the research object to analyze their physical development status. The Yi ethnic group in Chuxiong has maintained certain physical characteristics in the process of integration between the Chuxiong Yi ethnic group and other ethnic groups,but there was no obvious difference in general. The Yi ethnic group in Chuxiong is concentrated in rural areas and has a relatively low living standard. Rural labor and outdoor activities makes the development of upper limbs relatively better,and men's bodies are more robust. However,at the same time,the risk of overweight and obesity is higher. and there is still room for improvement in height and lower limb development. The lack of attention to physical development in rural towns,schools and families may be an important factor restricting physical development. In the construction of rural revitalization,the improvement of young people's living habits,nutritional status,and physical exercise still needs attention.
