With the advent of the era of globalization,sports,as an important carrier of cultural exchanges,has increasingly highlighted their educational functions.As an important part of Chinese traditional culture,traditional ethnic sports have a strong cultural heritage and historical value.However,under the background of rapid development of modern physical education,traditional ethnic sports are facing the double challenges of inheritance and innovation.Therefore,effective integration of traditional ethnic sports with modern physical education can promote the inheritance and development of traditional ethnic sports culture,enrich the content of physical education curriculum,promote the overall healthy growth of students,and enhance the sense of national identity and cultural self-confidence.This article aims to discuss the theoretical basis,significance and innovative path of the integration of traditional ethnic sports and modern physical education,in order to provide a new development direction for the field of physical education.
