Huxiang culture,as one of the treasures of Chinese culture,with its profound cultural heritage and unique sports spirit,provides rich materials and unique perspectives for ideological and political education in college Physical Education.This paper takes the integration of Huxiang sports culture into local college Physical Education teaching as the theme,using college Physical Education as the carrier.It combs the development and evolution of Huxiang sports culture in the long river of history,elaborates on the connotation and characteristics of Huxiang sports culture,analyzes the current situation and challenges of college Physical Education ideological and political education,and proposes strategies for the integration of Huxiang sports culture into college Physical Education ideological and political education,aiming to achieve the educational goal of Lide Shuren.
