Experimental Study on the Effects of Functional Training on Adolescent FMS and Physical Health
Objective:To explore the effect of Functional Training(FT)on promoting teenagers'FMS and physical health level,so as to enrich middle school students'FT theory, and provide a set of practical and effective FT scheme for middle school physical education teaching. Methods:A total of 108 first-year students from High School Affiliated to Southwest University in Chongqing were selected as the experimental objects, with 54 students in the experimental group and 54 in the control group. The experimental period was set as 12 weeks, with three FT sessions per week. Before and after the experiment, the 7 functional movement screening indicators and 7 physical health indicators were comprehensively evaluated and tested, and the collected experimental data were analyzed in depth. Results:After 12 weeks of FT,the experimental group showed significant differences in various FMS indicators(P<0.05).At the same time, the students'scores of various physical health tests have also improved,in which the three items of sitting forward flexion,50 meter dash and standing long jump show extremely significant differences(P<0.01),and the other test indicators show significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion:After 12 weeks of FT,the motor dysfunction of adolescents has been significantly improved, the risk of participating in sports has been reduced, and and the overall level of physical health has been significantly improved. It is an important supplementary method in the conventional Physical Education teaching system.
