Multi-Dimensional Impact Analysis of Sports Tourism on Local Economic Development
As an emerging industry,sports tourism is increasingly becoming an important driving force for promoting local economic development.This paper uses qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze the impact of sports tourism on local economic development from multiple-dimensions such as economy,society,culture and environment.The results show that sports tourism can promote employment growth,improve the level of infrastructure,drive the development of related industries,increase tax revenue,improve regional visibility and cultural soft power.However,there are also challenges such as large seasonal fluctuations and limited environmental carrying capacity.It is suggested that the local government should formulate a long-term mechanism to balance development and protection,and achieve sustainable and coordinated development of sports tourism and local economy.
